Power
connections

Whether you’re connecting a new home, upgrading an existing supply, or moving power underground, the power connection work needs to be planned properly and installed to current standards. Every site is different, so we take the time to understand what’s required before any work begins.

Vaughan, our Director, is a registered electrician and has supported residential power connection projects for over 25 years.

Things to
consider before connecting power

Power connections often involve more than a straightforward trenching and connection. What’s required can change depending on the site, the plans, and how power needs to be supplied now and in the future.

This is where we can help:

Connecting power for

new developments

or adding a dwelling

to an existing site

Upgrading power

supply to suit

increased demand

Taking overhead
power underground

Working through

site constraints such

as access, shared

services, or long

driveways

How we approach
power connections

While each job is tailored to the site and the client’s needs, our process is consistent and proven.

01

Site review and planning

We meet on site or review plans to understand the site, access and power requirements.

02

Design and load planning

We size the power supply based on the property’s needs, taking into account things like heating systems, cooking appliances, pools or air conditioning. Cable routes, depths and separation from other services are planned in line with NZ standards.

03

Trenching and installation

Our team digs the trench, installs ducts and lays underground power cables to the required depth to meet all standards.

04

Compliance

Once installed, the work is signed off with a Certificate of Compliance. As-built plans can be provided if required, giving clarity on what’s been installed and where.

The All 'N One
advantage

Because All ‘N one delivers both trenching and electrical connections, you only need one point of contact, rather than engaging separate contractors. We coordinate the work and make sure your project is delivered smoothly.
